For more than 100 years, generous Masons like you have helped provide a safe haven for older Masons in need and their loved ones at Texas Masonic Retirement Center. Enjoying a hot, tasty meal with friends happens every day at breakfast, lunch, and dinner for our residents. Unfortunately, we know some of our older brothers and their wives, widows, and mothers are hungry and live in unsafe surroundings. We fight this tragedy together through the No Mason Left Behind Project.
As all generations live longer, you can expect the need for charitable care services to continue to rise. Your support helps provide all-inclusive 24 hour-a-day/7 day-a-week accommodations at Texas Masonic Retirement Center, including medical services and nursing care for the entire lifetime of residents. The cost of these benefits exceeds $2.5 million annually.
With your $50 personal membership donation to the No Mason Left Behind Project, your name is added to our 2017 Honor Roll. Plus, you receive a special lapel pin, membership card, and recognition on posters and banners, as well as, in our e-newsletter and on our website. Desktop awards, invitations to special events, and more amenities recognize donors at higher giving levels. A summary of individual donor recognition awards is included below.

To help you understand the tremendous difference you make by supporting the No Mason Left Behind Project at Texas Masonic Retirement Center, we share the stories of two of our residents, with names changed to protect their privacy:
If help hadn’t come along at the time, there’s no telling where I would be. I didn’t want to be a street person, but I was headed that way. —Joe Barnett, Retired Printer – Family Provider, Steadfast Mason
At 92, Joe’s finances had been mismanaged by relatives. With his water shut off, little food in the house, and no telephone, he was in trouble. As a WWII veteran, steadfast Mason, and career printer, Joe had been a solid citizen all his life. He provided for his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
With support like yours, we helped him move into Texas Masonic Retirement Center.Joe gained thirty pounds in the first month of regular meals and loving care. Today, his twinkling eyes and broad smile say plenty about the life-altering generosity of Texas Masons and the safe haven offered by commitment like yours to the No Mason Left Behind Project at Texas Masonic Retirement Center.
My house was broken into and ransacked. Thank God, I wasn’t home at the time, but I became afraid of living alone. —Lily Moore, Retired Nurse – Devoted Mother – Loving Wife
As a nurse for more than 40 years, Lily stood by hundreds of suffering and fearful families. Although she provided comfort to so many, she found herself alone in her later years—afraid to leave her house and facing difficult decisions.
With a son serving as a missionary in Korea and the death of her daughter, Lily had no family to fall back on.
She said, “I was able to move to Texas Masonic Retirement Center because my husband was a Mason. He was a good man, but he died young. He was a prisoner of war, captured at the Battle of the Bulge in WWII. You know the Allies carried them out of that POW camp on stretchers it was so bad. He never really recovered from that experience, but he did become a Mason and that’s why I can live here. I’ve lived here for thirteen years. You couldn’t have a nicer home. I take part in the activities and I especially enjoy reading. We’ve got the bookmobile coming by and I can get new books any time. It’s quiet and peaceful.”
We look forward to paying tribute to your kindness and benevolence.
